Live-In Housekeeper
Location: Hertfordshire (North of London)
Salary: £50,000+ gross per annum (depending on experience)
Schedule: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday or weekend working with 2 days off in the week), 7:00am–7:00pm with generous breaks
Accommodation: Private large double bedroom and bathroom on the top floor

Our client is seeking a warm, proactive, and experienced live-in Housekeeper to support a busy and welcoming family home in a beautiful Hertfordshire village.

The household comprises Mum, Dad, and three children aged between 9–15, along with three small dogs. This is a lively, sociable home with guests regularly visiting, offering a friendly and engaging working environment.

This is a long-term position suited to a Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining high standards while also becoming a valued and trusted part of the family.

Duties will include:

• Performing full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining a high standard throughout the home
• Managing all laundry and ironing, including wardrobe organisation and linen care
• Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children when required
• Ensuring the home is always welcoming and presentable for both family and guests
• Monitoring household supplies and reporting any shortages
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home with a proactive approach
• Working comfortably in a busy household with children and dogs

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience working within a private household or similar environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Friendly, flexible, and adaptable to a busy family home
• Confident working around children and pet-friendly (comfortable with dogs)
• Basic cooking skills
