Our client, based in a beautiful rural location in North Norfolk, is seeking a reliable, hardworking and proactive Housekeeper / Household Assistant to join their busy family home.

The household is home to three children, aged 15, 13 and 7, along with a variety of animals including whippets and ponies, so applicants must be comfortable working in a lively family environment and enjoy country living.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a genuine "muck in" attitude who is happy to turn their hand to whatever is needed. You will work alongside a full-time gardener and become part of a friendly and supportive household team.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the household through high-quality housekeeping and domestic support.

Duties will include:

• Full housekeeping, ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard
• Cleaning, tidying and general household upkeep
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• Assisting with grocery shopping and household errands
• Driving family members when required (a vehicle will be provided during working hours)
• Providing general household assistance and supporting wherever needed

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a busy private household
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach
• A genuine willingness to help wherever required, reliability being very important
• Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A full, clean driving licence is highly desirable due to rural location
• Confidence working in a family home with children and animals, particularly dogs and horses
• A professional, trustworthy and discreet manner

Working Hours

• 5 days a week, typically Monday - Friday

Term Time

• 7:00am – 6:30pm (with a 90 minute break in the day)

School Holidays

• 8:00am start
