A private household based in the South of France is seeking an experienced, reliable, and discreet Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth running of the family home. The household consists of 2 adults with guests. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and well-run environment.
This position would suit a professional housekeeper/cook who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within a busy private household.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of the home to a high standard
• Laundry care, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
• Maintaining general household organisation and tidiness
• Ensuring household areas remain clean, well-presented, and functional
• Occasional preparation of simple meals (a bonus but not essential)
• Cooking Mediterranean style food for up to 5 guests

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household
• Excellent references from previous employers
• Reliable, discreet, and highly trustworthy
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage household tasks efficiently
• Right to work in France
• EU Passport holder is essential with the correct documentation to work in France on a temporary basis – proof of this will need to be sent

Location: South of France just outside Aix-en-Provence region
Hours/Days: Monday - Friday 40hrs per week - Approximately 8 hours per day 8-1pm 6-9pm with flexibility

Accommodation: A separate staff house is provided through-out the duration on the grounds of the residence
