Location: Wentworth, Surrey
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (currently 10:00am–6:00pm, likely changing to 8:00am–4:00pm from September onwards)

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professional, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a fully staffed private household based in Wentworth, Surrey. The property is a six-bedroom family home occupied by two adults and two children under the age of 10.

The family are seeking a reliable, proactive, and highly organised Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and household organisation. Whilst this is primarily a housekeeping role, the successful candidate should be happy to provide occasional assistance with the children when required. This is not a nanny position.

The role will involve working alongside another Housekeeper as part of a small household team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

Key Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and daily cleaning of the household
• Laundry, ironing, and garment care to a high standard, including knowledge of delicate fabrics such as cashmere
• Wardrobe management and organisation
• Changing bed linen and maintaining a fresh household presentation
• Ensuring all rooms are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
• Working collaboratively with another Housekeeper as part of a team
• Supporting the smooth running of the household on a daily basis
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation throughout
• Assisting with household errands and wider household duties as required
• Providing occasional support with the children, including supervision and assistance with routines when needed
• Maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
• Ensuring a calm, organised, and well-run household environment

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household
• Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards
• Experience working within a family home environment
• Child-friendly and happy to provide occasional assistance with children
• Reliable, discreet, and professional approach
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Driver preferred but not essential
• DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
