A private family is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their household and support the running of their beautiful country residence in Dorset.

This is a long-term opportunity for a professional, organised and proactive Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a home to exceptional standards. The property is a second home, occupied for approximately 18 weeks each year, together with occasional weekends and holidays. Working closely with the House Manager, you will ensure the residence is always beautifully presented and prepared for the family's arrival.

Key Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping to an exceptional standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• Household organisation and stock management
• Care of fine furnishings and interiors
• Household shopping and provisioning as required
• Light meal preparation
• Assisting with informal entertaining and dinner parties
• Guest room preparation
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors when required
• Supporting family arrivals and departures
• Occasional pet care if required

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a private household, luxury hospitality or yachting environment
• A minimum of two years' relevant housekeeping experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A professional, discreet and flexible approach
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider household team
• A dog-friendly attitude
• The right to work in the UK

Working Hours

When the family is not in residence:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

When the family is in residence:

• Flexibility required
• Typically 10–12 hour working days
• Weekend working will be required during occupancy periods, with days off taken during the week
