Live-Out Housekeeper

Location: Mayfair, London
Salary: £48,000 gross per annum

Working Hours: 48 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days per week on a rota, including some weekends
Shifts: 7:00am–4:00pm, 9:00am–6:00pm or 12:00pm–9:30pm

Our client is seeking an experienced, polished and flexible Housekeeper to join a fully staffed household in a large and formal Mayfair residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and comfort throughout the property, working as part of a professional household team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Housekeeper with experience in a formal private household or five-star hotel who takes genuine pride in their work and is comfortable working within a busy and highly organised environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the residence to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Clean, prepare and replenish bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas in accordance with household standards.
• Ensure rooms are fully stocked and presented to the required standard.
• Handle laundry, housekeeping duties and care of household items as required.
• Remove rubbish and recycling and ensure appropriate disposal.
• Report any damages, missing items, maintenance issues or discrepancies promptly to the Head Housekeeper.
• Assist with food and beverage service when required; previous F&B experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Work collaboratively with the wider household team to ensure the smooth running of the residence.
• Follow all household procedures, policies, health and safety requirements and instructions.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Be flexible and willing to assist with reasonable additional duties as required by the household.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous professional housekeeping experience within a private household or five-star hotel.
• Excellent attention to detail and exceptionally high standards.
• Professional, discreet and respectful manner.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing household requirements and shift patterns.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• High standard of personal presentation.
• Courteous, honest, hardworking and humble in approach.
• Comfortable working in a formal, fully staffed household environment.
• International travel at short notice may occasionally be required.
