Housekeeper
Location: Highbury, North London
Position: Part-Time, Live-Out
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week

• Main household – 5 days per week, approximately 4 hours per day
• Second household – 3 days per week, approximately 4 hours per day

Salary: £20–£25 gross per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP

A lovely family is seeking an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain their five-storey townhouse to an excellent standard.
The ideal candidate will have strong private household experience, excellent attention to detail and the initiative to recognise what needs doing without requiring direction.

The position will initially focus on the main family home for approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours at a relative’s property just two roads away. The second household would require approximately 12 hours per week, subject to agreeing the final arrangement.

This is a housekeeping-only position, with no childcare responsibilities. The family currently employs a Nanny, allowing the Housekeeper to focus entirely on maintaining the home.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning and dusting throughout the five-storey townhouse
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation across all floors
• Laundry, ironing and putting clothes away neatly
• Organising wardrobes, household items and living spaces as required
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised, including fridge upkeep
• Proactively identifying household tasks that require attention
• Undertaking similar housekeeping duties at the second household, subject to the agreed arrangement

Candidate Requirements

• Previous private household housekeeping experience
• Excellent cleaning standards and a strong eye for detail
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
• An up-to-date DBS check is essential
• Excellent, contactable references are essential
• Comfortable working across all five floors of a townhouse
• Trustworthy, discreet and professional, with a flexible and positive approach
