Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Marylebone, London
Salary: £50,000 gross per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 5 shifts per week on a rota basis, with flexibility required for weekends. Shifts are 6:00am - 3:00pm, 8:00am - 5:00pm and 12:00pm - 9:00pm

Our clients are seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeper to join their fully staffed private household in Marylebone, working to consistently high standards in a large property.

The household is supported by a full team, including four housekeepers, butlers, a house manager and chefs. The Housekeeper will work as part of the housekeeping team on a rotating shift pattern, which the household aims to organise so that one week is early shifts, the following week is middle shifts and the next is late shifts, before the cycle restarts. This can’t always be guaranteed, so flexibility is essential.

The successful candidate will be organised, discreet and meticulous, with a genuine eye for detail and a team-focused approach. They will be a quick learner who is happy to be trained in the household’s way of working.

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

• High-standard general housekeeping throughout a large property
• Wardrobe management
• Laundry and ironing
• Garment care, including delicate and fine fabrics
• Bed linen care and changing beds
• Working collaboratively with the housekeeping team, butlers, house manager and chefs
• Maintaining the household’s exceptionally high standards at all times
• Flexibility across the rota of shifts, including weekends

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a private household
• Experience in a fully staffed household is advantageous
• Knowledge of garment care, laundry and ironing to a high standard
• A quick learner, happy to be trained in the household’s methods
• Flexible and able to work all three shift patterns, including weekends
• Highly organised, discreet and professional with excellent attention to detail
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent, checkable references
