A warm and welcoming family are seeking an experienced, professional, and proactive Nanny to support their household and assist with the care of their 2.5-year-old son and new born baby due in November.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working in partnership with parents within a formal household environment and who understands the importance of maintaining and reinforcing the family's values, routines, and etiquette-focused approach to raising their children.

The position will be a mixture of childcare and household support, with the role initially focused on assisting the mother with the toddler whilst preparing for the arrival of the new baby. This is very much a shared-care position where the successful candidate will work closely alongside the parents.

The family currently employs a full-time Housekeeper, therefore housekeeping duties will primarily consist of supporting with family cooking and stepping in with household duties when required, such as during periods of annual leave or sickness cover.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing attentive and nurturing care for the children in a shared-care capacity
  • Supporting the mother with the daily routines of both children
  • Assisting with the care of the newborn following their arrival in November
  • Encouraging excellent manners, etiquette, and age-appropriate behaviour in line with the family's values
  • Planning engaging and educational activities for the toddler
  • Preparing nutritious meals for the children and family
  • Assisting with nursery duties including children's laundry, keeping bedrooms and play areas tidy, and maintaining children's belongings
  • Providing additional housekeeping support when the Housekeeper is unavailable
  • Running occasional errands as required
  • Driving the children to activities, appointments, and school in the future

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Warm, professional, and highly organised
  • Experienced caring for both toddlers and newborns
  • Comfortable working within a formal household setting
  • Happy working in a shared-care arrangement with hands-on parents
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to assist where needed
  • A confident and experienced driver

Working hours will initially be 09:00 – 19:00, with flexibility for these to transition to approximately 07:30 – 17:30 once the eldest child starts school.

A car will be provided for all work-related duties.
