Contract Length: 6–12 months (ideally 12 months, flexible) Live-out
Hours: Monday–Friday, approx. 8–10 hours per day

The Family

A lovely couple are expecting their first baby, due June 2026. They are welcoming their first child and are seeking a calm, experienced maternity nanny to support them through the early months.

Location

  • June – August: Surrey (property in Godalming, just outside Guildford) during the mother’s maternity leave
  • Post-August: London (Holland Park) as the mother returns to work
  • Travel: Ad hoc travel back to Surrey as needed; nanny may accompany the family with notice

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support first-time parents with newborn care, focusing on establishing routines (sleep, feeding, and general baby care)
  • Provide flexible assistance during the first 2 months to help mother settle into routine
  • After initial 2 months: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm
  • Be proactive, nurturing, and confident with newborns
  • Light household assistance relating to the baby may be required

Requirements

  • Previous experience with first-time parents and newborns essential
  • Ability to provide guidance on routines, sleep, and feeding
  • Calm, patient, and approachable personality
  • Flexible and adaptable, especially during the first few months
