Part-Time Housekeeper/Laundress

Our client, who has two private residences in London, is seeking a highly experienced, professional and detail-oriented part-time Housekeeper to maintain their homes to an exceptional standard.

The principal residence is located in Holland Park and comprises three bedrooms. The successful candidate will have extensive private household experience, outstanding housekeeping skills and, in particular, expert knowledge of laundry and wardrobe management.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping and Home Maintenance

• Maintain the properties to an exceptional standard of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
• Undertake all aspects of daily housekeeping, ensuring every room is immaculate and well presented
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other household spaces to the highest standards

Laundry and Wardrobe Management

• Oversee all laundry duties, demonstrating expert knowledge of garment care, washing, drying, ironing and steaming
• Handle delicate fabrics, designer clothing and specialist garments with care and attention
• Manage wardrobes efficiently, ensuring clothing is organised, maintained and presented to an excellent standard
• Maintain high standards of linen care, including changing and organising bed linen as required

Packing and Unpacking

• Pack and unpack clothing, luggage and personal belongings
• Ensure garments are handled carefully, organised efficiently and prepared appropriately for travel
• Maintain an organised approach while working quickly and effectively, particularly when preparing for arrivals and departures

Table Setting and Meal Preparation

• Prepare and present table settings for everyday dining and occasional entertaining
• Assist with light meal preparation when the chef is unavailable

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience as a Housekeeper within a private household or high-end residential environment
• Exceptional housekeeping standards and a meticulous eye for detail
• Expert laundry, ironing and wardrobe management skills
• Experience handling delicate, designer and luxury garments
• Proven ability to pack and unpack efficiently while maintaining excellent presentation
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• The confidence to work independently and use initiative
• A professional, discreet, reliable and flexible approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to work alongside other household staff
• A proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to maintaining an exceptional home environment

Working Hours and Flexibility
The role will typically involve 6 hours per day, 3 days per week, with shifts usually scheduled between:

• 10:00 am and 4:00 pm
• 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm

The schedule will depend on the principals' presence at the properties and the household's requirements.

Flexibility is essential, as working days may occasionally fall over the weekend. The household team will provide advance notice of the agreed working schedule wherever possible.

The successful candidate will be required to work across both London properties as needed. 2 days per week in Holland Park, 1 day a week in White City.

Salary
The salary offered is £20–£25 per hour, depending on experience and suitability.
