Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper

A family in Canterbury, Kent, is seeking a Part-time Nanny/Housekeeper for their two boys, aged 12 & 14. This role follows a split-shift schedule across 2–3 days per week, with added flexibility required for overnight care when the parent is travelling for work.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Ensure the boys are up, have breakfast, and are fully prepared for school, including packing their bags
• School drop-off and pick-up on working days
• Support with homework and school-related tasks
• Prepare dinner and oversee evening routines
• Provide consistent overnight care during the parent’s travel periods
• Ensure morning routines are managed during overnight stays, including breakfast, school preparation, and school drop-off
• Maintain a calm, structured evening routine during sole charge periods
• Occasional light housekeeping related to the children (tidying, laundry, school organisation)
• Dog walking and general pet care as required
• Occasional transport for activities, including football drop-offs and pick-ups

Overnight Requirement:

• Approximately 1 week every 3 months (around 5 nights) during international work travel
• Plus 1–2 nights per month for shorter work trips
• Full sole-charge responsibility during these periods, including overnight care and morning school routine

Requirements:

• Must be a confident driver with access to your own car
• Ideally based locally
• Comfortable with dogs
• Experience with school-aged children and sole charge overnight care
• Reliable, flexible, and organised

Working Days / Hours:

• 2–3 days per week (to be confirmed)
• Split shifts: approximately 7:45am–8:45am and 3:30pm–6:00pm/7:00pm
• Additional overnight cover as required (see above)
