We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced  and talented Private Chef to join a young, informal UHNW family based in Kensington. The successful candidate will be a creative, discreet and highly accomplished Chef with a strong background in Michelin-level restaurants and private households.

The role involves preparing breakfast, light lunches and dinner, ranging from relaxed family-style sharing dishes to fine dining. The family has four children, so it is important that the Chef is comfortable working within a busy family home and can adapt their cooking to suit both adults and children.

This is a two-chef household, with the chefs working complementary schedules and some crossover. The role is expected to run Tuesday-Saturday, with flexibility required around the family’s plans and occasional entertaining. When the family hosts guests or events, the Chef should be confident delivering food to an exceptional standard and showcasing their creativity and fine-dining experience.

The residence has a separate commercial kitchen, providing an excellent environment in which to work and maintain the highest standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating varied, seasonal menus for the family’s approval
• Preparing breakfast, light lunches as required, and dinner
• Producing exceptionally healthy, creative and beautifully presented food using high-quality fresh ingredients
• Catering for occasional dinner parties and events
• Managing food purchasing, kitchen stock, fridge and pantry
• Maintaining exceptional standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation and hygiene
• Working collaboratively with the second Chef to ensure consistency and a smooth handover between schedules

Requirements:

• Strong Michelin/fine-dining restaurant background alongside substantial private household experience
• Minimum three years’ experience in a comparable private Chef role
• Exceptional standard of cooking, with a particular focus on healthy, creative and flavour-led food
• Experience working with young families and adapting menus accordingly
• Personable, warm and accommodating, while maintaining complete professionalism and discretion
• Creative, proactive, organised and efficient
• Comfortable working around dogs
• Excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom

Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Expected Tuesday-Saturday, 7.00am-8.00pm (flexibility required)
