Rota Nanny

Rota Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Our clients are seeking an experienced, professional Rota Nanny to join their busy, fully staffed household in Chelsea, with the primary focus on their 9-month-old baby boy.

The family consists of two Principals and their three children: a baby boy of 9 months and two girls aged 10 and 5. The girls have a governess, so no direct childcare is required for them beyond occasional ad hoc help. There are also cats and a bird in the household.

The successful candidate will be calm, nurturing and highly organised, with proven experience caring for babies and a confident, discreet manner. As part of a large household team, they will work well alongside other staff and be comfortable travelling with the family during school holidays.

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

• Providing full, hands-on care for the baby, including feeding, bathing, nappy changes and bedtime routines
• Establishing and maintaining healthy sleep, feeding and daily routines
• Planning age-appropriate activities, outings and developmental play
• Keeping the baby’s nursery, clothing, laundry and belongings clean and organised
• Occasional ad hoc help with the two older girls as needed
• Liaising with the wider household team and the girls’ governess to ensure smooth daily operations
• Travelling with the family during school holidays, when required
• Handing over clearly and consistently at the end of each rota

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Rota Nanny in a private household
• Strong experience with babies
• Comfortable working as part of a fully staffed household team
• Comfortable around cats and a bird
• Flexible and willing to travel with the family
• Discreet, professional, reliable and proactive
• Excellent, checkable references
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check
• Paediatric First Aid certification

Accommodation: Live-in while on rota (details to be confirmed), and live-out while off rota.
