Our UHNW client, who is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is looking for an experienced Stores Manager.

The Stores Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and control of all warehouse and stores operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, goods, and equipment. The role ensures inventory accuracy, compliance with company policies and procedures, and alignment with operational requirements.

The Stores Manager will also lead process improvement initiatives to optimise storage capacity, reduce waste, and maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and cost control in line with company and Saudi regulatory requirements.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Oversee all warehouse functions including receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials.
  • Ensure that all goods are stored and handled according to safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) inventory control methods.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of material movements and proper use of warehouse management systems (WMS or ERP).

Inventory Control:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical stock checks in coordination with Finance and Internal Audit.
  • Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies, and report variances promptly.
  • Ensure accurate tagging, coding, and location of all items within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring traceability and accountability.

Staff Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including storekeepers, clerks, and material handlers.
  • Develop shift schedules to ensure continuous operational coverage.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide coaching and guidance for professional development.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies, safety standards, and ethical conduct.

Procurement Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the Procurement and Finance departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Verify and acknowledge material receipts against purchase orders and supplier delivery notes.
  • Escalate supplier performance issues and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and material inspections as required.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labour, health, and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S principles).
  • Monitor temperature-controlled and hazardous material storage conditions (if applicable).
  • Prepare monthly reports on inventory levels, aging stock, and consumption trends.
  • Support audits by providing accurate records, documents, and justifications.

Process & Cost Optimisation:

  • Continuously improve warehouse layouts, workflows, and processes for better efficiency.
  • Reduce handling time and improve order accuracy.
  • Monitor operational costs and propose cost-saving measures (eg, bulk storage, supplier delivery coordination).

Salary: 17,850 SAR – 25,500 SAR
Working days: 6 days a week
Accommodation: Live-in or Live-out
Education requirements: Master’s, Bachelors or Diploma
Work experience requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of experience on the same or similar role
