Our client, with a part time residence in Sudbury (North Essex / Suffolk border), requires a temporary, hands-on, live-in Housekeeper/Cook, for 3 months, starting asap. You will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards, preparing simple home-cooked meals, and assisting with dog care. The role requires autonomy, discretion, and a calm, organised approach.

Key responsibilities:

•  Full housekeeping of an 8-bedroom Georgian property
•  Bed making, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
•  Maintaining a clean, well-organised kitchen
•  Preparing fresh, family-style meals when required
•  Daily care of two dogs (walking, feeding, occasional sitting)
•  Overseeing contractors and reporting maintenance issues
•  Running local errands and managing household supplies
•  Meeting and greeting guests
•  Driving duties (manual vehicle provided)

Candidate Specification:

•  Proven experience in a similar private household role
•  Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
•  Confident cook for simple, nutritious meals
•  Comfortable with large dogs
•  Full, clean manual driving licence preferred
•  Discreet, proactive, and able to work independently
•  Comfortable in a rural setting and available for a minimum 3-month commitment

Salary: £160 – £200 gross per day (8 hours)

Working Days & Hours:

• 5 days a week (inc some weekends when client visits), 8 hours per day, between 09:00 – 19:00 (flexibility within these hours)
• Infrequent evening station collections (approx. 10 minutes away)
