Our clients are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeper/Cook to provide temporary support at their family home in South Buckinghamshire over the December and festive period.

This is a hands-on role combining high-standard housekeeping with simple family cooking and meal preparation. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be comfortable managing their responsibilities independently and have excellent attention to detail.

Start Times: Flexible, depending on candidate preference

Salary: £25-£30 gross per hour (DOE)

Dates Required

• Monday 14th - Friday 18th December
• Monday 21st - Thursday 24th December
• 24th December can be a shorter working day if required - to be discussed with the client
• Tuesday 29th - Thursday 31st December
• 31st December can be a shorter working day if required - to be discussed with the client

There is flexibility around start times, depending on the successful candidate's preference.

Responsibilities

• General day-to-day housekeeping and cleaning
• Full house cleaning approximately twice per week, including thorough dusting, vacuuming and mopping
• Daily light cleaning and tidying as required
• Preparing simple, home-cooked family meals
• Meal preparation and batch cooking as required
• Laundry, including washing and drying
• Ironing, folding and putting away clothes and household linens
• Making beds and maintaining bedrooms
• Maintaining general order and presentation throughout the property
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised
• Washing dishes as required
• Keeping utility areas clean and organised
• Light outdoor cleaning, including wiping down outdoor furniture where required
• General support to ensure the household runs smoothly throughout the festive period

The family home is approximately 500+ square metres across three floors and comprises:

• Kitchen/diner
• Two utility rooms
• Six bedrooms
• Five bathrooms
• Two living rooms
• Indoor gym
• Outdoor patio area

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or domestic cleaning experience within a private household
• Confident preparing simple, home-cooked meals
• Comfortable with meal preparation and batch cooking
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Respectful of household privacy with a high level of discretion
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in the UK

Please note: The clients can offer some flexibility on Christmas Eve (24th December) and New Year's Eve (31st December), with the possibility of shorter working days to be agreed directly with them.
