Our client, with a large private estate in the Reading area, is seeking an exceptionally experienced, local Temporary Housekeeper to assist the family over the Christmas period.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working to Grade I listed property and/or five-star hotel standards, with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail.

Dates: 24th – 28th December
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, including a 30-minute lunch break
Location: Reading area
Salary: Up to £25 per hour (extra pay available for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the Bank Holiday Monday)

Duties will include:

• Full housekeeping to an exceptionally high standard
• Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining immaculate bedrooms and living areas
• Laundry and ironing, including the care of fine clothing and delicate fabrics
• Hotel-standard bed making, dusting, polishing and vacuuming
• Cupboard and wardrobe organisation
• Packing and unpacking luggage
• Deep cleaning as required
• Emptying bins and taking items to the recycling centre
• Unboxing deliveries and disposing of packaging
• Shredding confidential paperwork
• Maintaining household stocks of cleaning supplies and toiletries
• Household shopping and errands
• Liaising with the PA regarding household contractors and appointments
• Light cooking and food preparation
• Keeping garden furniture and outdoor areas tidy
• Watering plants and liaising with the gardening team
• Cleaning three family vehicles, including refuelling when required
• Daily dog walking, feeding, grooming and general pet care (Dachshund)
• Driving as required, so a confident driver comfortable with SUVs is essential
