The Role
A lovely opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Temporary Housekeeper to join a private family in South Kensington, starting asap until the end of the year.

The family live in a two-bedroom flat and are soon to become a family of four. They have a separate Nanny/Cook, so this position will focus solely on the day-to-day housekeeping and upkeep of the home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the household to an exceptionally high standard, ensuring the home is consistently clean, organised and well presented. Quality is more important than quantity, and the family are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a naturally meticulous approach.

Duties will include:

• Full day-to-day housekeeping of the home
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout
• Cleaning and caring for a variety of surfaces and materials
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and general cleaning
• Bathrooms and kitchen cleaning
• Keeping the household organised and well maintained
• Ironing only, as the family manage their own laundry
• Ensuring the home is consistently presented to a high standard
• Following instructions carefully, particularly during the initial period
• Using initiative and taking ownership of the housekeeping once familiar with the home and the family's preferences

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, discreet and trustworthy Housekeeper who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the standards expected within a private household.

• Have previous private household or high-end housekeeping experience
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Be knowledgeable about cleaning different surfaces, fabrics and materials, or be willing to learn
• Be able to follow instructions and household preferences
• Become confident in using their own initiative once settled into the role
• Be discreet, respectful and professional at all times
• Have a proactive and hardworking approach
• Take pride in delivering a high-quality service
• Due to children in the household the Housekeeper must have an up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one
