Travel Rota Nanny (Live-In)

Accommodation: Depending on location, accommodation will consist of either a private bedroom and bathroom within the household, staff accommodation, or a nearby apartment

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, professional, and highly experienced Rota Nanny to join a warm, welcoming, and fully staffed private household caring for an eight-year-old child.

The family are seeking a proactive, nurturing, and flexible candidate who can provide the highest standard of childcare whilst working collaboratively alongside a second Rota Nanny to ensure seamless year-round coverage and continuity of care.

This role involves regular international travel with the family, primarily throughout Europe, and would suit a confident and adaptable candidate who thrives within a dynamic private household environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, nurturing, and age-appropriate care at all times
• Assisting the child’s tutor where required, as the child is home schooled
• Preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks whilst considering dietary requirements
• Accompanying the child to appointments and assisting with ad hoc errands when required
• Organising and supervising playdates and social engagements agreed with the parents
• Supporting the child’s routines, development, wellbeing, and overall happiness
• Maintaining tidy and organised bedrooms, wardrobes, and play areas
• Ensuring toys, equipment, and belongings are hygienically clean and well organised
• Packing and preparing for international travel
• Shopping for the child and maintaining expense records where required
• Assisting with the care of the family pet such as walking the dogs when required

General Duties

• Ensuring the child’s safety, wellbeing, and security at all times
• Liaising closely with the parents regarding routines, activities, and any concerns
• Taking the child to medical appointments, check-ups, or vaccinations if required
• Working collaboratively with the second Rota Nanny and wider household team
• Maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality within the household
• Supporting a calm, structured, and positive environment for the child
• Remaining flexible to the family’s schedule and travel requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working within private households in a similar rota nanny position
• Excellent checkable references
• Warm, nurturing, professional, and proactive approach
• Flexible and adaptable with a strong team-player mentality
• Confident travelling internationally with families
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date First Aid certification preferred
• EU passport preferred
• Comfortable working within a fully staffed household
• Pet friendly
